Welcome to the Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation (CETI)

Please use the navigation bar above to find out more about our areas of work.

The Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation (CETI) is a hub designed to provide strategic academic leadership in learning and teaching and curriculum development and innovation, ensuring that we are at the cutting edge of inspiring, transformative learning and teaching. It supports the University of Westminster’s commitment to high quality, forward looking and relevant learning and teaching that is set out in the Education Strategy.

CETI will establish a culture of pedagogic scholarship and research across the University community and in collaboration with other local, national and international communities, and it will champion professional development and excellence and innovation in learning and teaching.

It aims to inspire ongoing professional learning and development and will act as an incubator for staff and students to collaborate on creating the kind of unique learning opportunities that our students need in the ever-changing 21st century world.

Through its activities, CETI will champion learning and teaching within and beyond the University, encourage future scoping to ensure that our curriculum offers the flexibility, accessibility and interdisciplinarity that will enhance the lives and employment prospects of our students, facilitate learning communities that are inclusive to all, and engage students as critical co-creators of their higher education experience.

It will also offer a space for thinking about the future challenges of higher education, enabling open dialogue and conversation about the ‘big issues’ that will shape the future of knowledge production both within and beyond academia.

If you would like to get involved with CETI, or have a project, publication, resource or idea you would like to share with us, please let us know by emailing CETI@westminster.ac.uk.
